'What I'm up to' catch up post

M O N D A Y ☕️

Morning lovelies

The weekend is over and a new week has begun. I’m so happy to be back home with my babies, they have literally not left my side since we arrived back on Saturday evening which is just lovely.

Sadly though Bonnie, my ginger girl hurt her leg yesterday, her knee joint keeps popping out so she has to have an operation on Thursday to make it better. She can’t go out and is feeling quite sorry for herself but I’m sure she is lapping up all the extra attention ☺️

So here’s an update on me lately:

𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠

I managed to finish two books whilst away on holiday, For Your Own Good by Samantha Downing and Once Upon a Broken Heart by Stephanie Garber.

Both were absolutely amazing and my reviews will be up soon so keep your eyes peeled.

I’m currently reading Serpent and Dove by Shelby Mahurin, which I brought from Waterstones just before I went away. I knew I would love this book as I have been eagerly awaiting for it for such a long time but I just didn’t realise how much until I started!!

It’s packed full of witchyness, I can’t wait to share my thoughts with you all!

𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠

So I started Nine Perfect Strangers by Liane Moriarty on Amazon Prime the other day. I really enjoyed the book so thought I’d give it a shot even though I wasn’t a huge fan of the Netflix Behind Her Eyes!

Myself and my daughter are absolutely hooked so far. We are about four episodes in and loving everything about it, the best bit is I can’t really remember all the details down the book, even though I know how it ends it’s still managing to surprise me. And let’s be honest, anything with Melissa McCarthy in is bound to be good 😉

I don’t normally listen to audio books.

I did try one though the other week. I had a free download so I chose my current read at the time, Cecily which is narrated by Olivia Poulet.

I loved how she read the story and found the French accent utterly beautiful but I still find I get extremely distracted by the narrators expression 🤦‍♀️ I definitely would listen to one if I could not physically read though.

𝐋𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐭𝐨

Ok, so this could be a much bigger section, I have SO many books that I’m excited to read.

I think next up for me might have to be Apples Never Fall by Liane Moriarty?

Then again I’m not sure… Black Drop looks so enticing, as does A Marvellous Light 🤔
