My Review

Thank you so much Penguin for this amazing opportunity to read such a gripping and unputdownable page turner. I loved every single page.

Where to start. I knew as soon as I received this one that it would be a book I love. It has all the things I find irresistible about a good book, multiple character perspectives, full of twists and a completely gripping plot.

The story is about three families who are forced to become friends because their children all do dyslexia tutoring once a week and all form a strong friendship. Most of them struggle to form friendships in there every day life so this makes the parents make more of an effort to encourage the friend ships.

Every family is going through their own issues underneath the front that they all perceive to be perfect.

Eve, tutor to the children, naturally beautiful and a woman that seems to be able to do it all with the least amount if effort.

Melissa, Slim, beautiful and has the perfect husband and perfect life.

Grace, Business woman who has it all, including an award winning author husband.

But underneath all the exteriors nothing is quite what it seems. They are all dealing with their own torments, racial abuse and anxiety, abusive partners, unhappy marriages are all hiding just beneath the surface.

Whilst the adults make a big effort to spend time together to get along the children are all off having fun, but it is not as harmonious as it appears from the outside and their are darker things happening in the woods and amongst the trees that no one could for-see.

I loved switching from character to character, every single one pulled me in and I connected with them completely whilst reading their life in that moment.

My favourite character had to be Melissa. On the outside she composes herself amazingly well but on the inside she is dealing with some real demons and it is her strength and bravery I admired the most throughout the story.

I cant recommend this book enough, you will not put it down once you have started.

Add it to your tbr as soon as possible.
