Or at least that’s what you’ve told yourself…

And then, one day it all changes.

You thought you were fine with this, with only having a fraction of a husband. But you can’t help yourself, you start to dig. You begin tracking them down, the other days…

Who is Monday and why does she have bruises on her arms? Is she being abused? By who? Her husband? Your husband?

What else is he keeping from you?

And who is he, really?

Thank you so much HQ for sending me this absolutely brilliant and twisty proof copy! This was most definitely one of those books that you just can not put down.

My Review

Waiting... waiting... thats what women do. We wait for him to get home, we wait for him to pay attention to us, wait to be treated fairly — for our worth to be seen and acknowledged. Life is just a waiting game for women.

Ok so where to start. I loved this book. It has everything you need in a thriller, it keeps you on the edge with every page you turn, completely messes with your mindset so what you actually think is happening is something else entirely and really allows you to engage with the characters and want to know more and more of what is happening in their lives.

This story is told from a single narrative. Thursday waits all week to see her husband Seth. Her day is on a Thursday. She is in a polygamist relationship and Seth has two other women in his life that he shares his time with, Monday and Tuesday.

Thursday is a nurse and spends her days working the late shift whilst she spends the rest of her time waiting for her day to come around so she can lavish in her husbands attention for a whole twenty-four hours.

When he does arrive she makes sure that she is the perfect wife, the one that he can unwind and relax with, the one that he can have great sex with and not get any complaining or whining about the lack of time she spends with him.

She makes sure that the table is set, the dinner is cooked and she is wearing the most sexiest outfit she has in her wardrobe.

After dinner, sex and wine they relax around the sofas whilst she asks how Monday and Tuesday are. Monday is pregnant and younger then Thursday, he doesn't talk that much about Tuesday any more. He divorced Tuesday in the beginning for Monday.

This is Thursdays life until one day she finds a receipt with Mondays real name and address on it. They are not to have any contact with each other, thats how Seth wants it but curiosity gets the better of her and she ends up going to see what Monday truly looks like and what type of woman she is sharing the man she loves with.

Things start to spiral out of her control at this point as she inadvertently makes friends with Monday and is also concerned as there are clearly bruises on her arms that she is trying to hide, Thursday cannot put the kind and caring Seth she knows with the Seth who apparently is hurting another woman in his life.

Thursday starts looking more into Monday and Tuesday and finding out what kind of man Seth really is. But not everything is as it seems and with every good thriller there is also a very clever twist, this one has that and then some...

Why I Loved It

I absolutely loved this book. I could not put it down once I had started and finished it in less then a day. The main character is extremely compelling and I found I wanted to know more about her and couldn't read fast enough. The plot for this story is extremely clever and I had absolute no clue of the twist at the end, or that the ending was going to end the way it did. Sinister, gripping and utterly unputdownable are just a few words I can use to describe this brilliant read. You need to add this one to your TBR as soon as possible.
