Synopsis
Margot doesn't have time for love.
Will is afraid to love.
And neither of them are expecting to fall in love with Blossom: a gentle Staffy with a tragic past, a belly made for rubbing and a head the size of a football.
After their first meeting at the rescue centre, both Margot and Will want to adopt Blossom so reluctantly agree to share custody. But Will's obsession for micro-managing and clear-cut boundaries and Margot's need to smother Blossom with affection, means that soon they have a very confused and badly behaved dog on their hands.
Can they put their differences aside to become successful "co-pawrents" and maybe even friends?
And meanwhile, does Blossom have plans of her own?

My Review
Margot is a 36 year old fashion designer who lives in trendy North London.
Will used to be an investment banker but after burning the candle at both ends he now has ended up working in for his family's in their floristry business, also in North London.
After being dumped by her boyfriend she decides for company she is going to adopt a rescue dog. She has images of meeting new people at the park on serene walks with her new dog, pub lunches and quality bonding time with her new forever friend. A dog will make everything better, she thinks.
Having spent the last year in therapy, Will is desperate for a fresh start.
Void of friends and the though of a date being a far reached dream, Will decides to volunteer at the local dog rescue centre, Mayne even borrow one for a couple of days a week to help him build his confidence with talking to people again...
Margot and Will meet via the rescue centre and both fall in love with Blossom, a shy staff. Having to share they co parent, both being so different in almost every way possible, apart from their pure love for Blossom. At first handover days are awkward and stiff, both unsure of the other but it isnt long before they start talking and their awkward exchanges become so much more.
Why I Loved It
I really liked this read. Im a cat person myself but still love pooches and would have totally fell in love with Blossom myself.
This is such a light and warming read, perfect for any dog lovers.
